Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest announces 2018 Business Hall of Fame Laureates

Prominent local business leaders serve as role models for today’s students

Maplewood, Minnesota, (May 31, 2018) – Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest (JAUM) today announced its Business Hall of Fame laureates. The distinguished honorees are individuals who exemplify excellence in business and community mindedness as leaders of their respective Midwest-based organizations. Laureates were chosen based on the example they set for today’s students through demonstrated integrity, respect, and excellence in business and philanthropy. JAUM’s 2018 Business Hall of Fame laureates are:

  • Russ Becker, CEO & President, APi Group, Inc.
  • David Mortenson – Chairman, M. A. Mortenson Company and
    Kate Mortenson – President & CEO, 2019 Minneapolis Final Four® Local Organizing Committee
  • John Noseworthy, M.D. – President & CEO, Mayo Clinic
  • Kevin Warren – Chief Operating Officer, Minnesota Vikings
  • Sri Zaheer, Dean, Elmer L. Andersen Chair in Global Corporate Social Responsibility
    Carlson School of Management

The laureates will be honored September 20, 2018, at McNamara Alumni Center on the Minneapolis campus of the University of Minnesota. The evening includes an awards ceremony and presentation featuring inspirational videos highlighting the outstanding accomplishments of each laureate. Each honoree is introduced by a JA student.

This year’s event will host nearly 300 of the Twin Cities’ best and brightest business leaders. Proceeds from the event will allow more than 163,500 K-12 students in Minnesota, North Dakota and western Wisconsin to experience JA in their classrooms this coming school year.
