Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest announces 2019 Business Hall of Fame Laureates
Prominent local business leaders serve as role models for today’s students
St. Paul, Minnesota, (June 3, 2019) – Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest (JAUM) today announced the annual induction of its Business Hall of Fame laureates. The distinguished honorees are individuals who exemplify excellence in business and community mindedness as leaders of their respective Minnesota-based organizations.
Laureates were chosen based on the example they set for today’s students through demonstrated integrity, respect, and excellence in business and philanthropy. JAUM’s 2019 Business Hall of Fame laureates are:
- Jeanne Crain, President & CEO, Bremer Bank
- Kenneth Holmen, M.D., President/CEO, CentraCare Health
- Hubert Joly, Executive Chairman, Best Buy
- John and Nancy Lindahl, Chairman, Norwest Equity Partners | Community Leader
- Alan C. Page, Retired Justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court
- Barbara Butts Williams, Ph.D., Dean Emerita, School of Business, Capella University
“We are honored to recognize this year’s class of laureates for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the Minnesota business and philanthropic communities,” said Gina Blayney, President & CEO of JAUM. “By sharing their stories, we hope to inspire young people to become leaders, pursue excellence, and realize their own success.”
The laureates will be honored October 24, 2019, at McNamara Alumni Center on the Minneapolis campus of the University of Minnesota. The evening includes an awards ceremony and presentation featuring inspirational videos highlighting the outstanding accomplishments of each laureate. Each honoree is introduced by a Junior Achievement student.
This year’s event will host more than 300 of the Twin Cities’ best and brightest business leaders. Proceeds from the event will allow more than 165,500 K-12 students in Minnesota, North Dakota and western Wisconsin to experience JA in their classrooms this coming school year.
