John Lindahl founded Norwest Equity Partners, Minnesota’s largest private equity firm, in 1984. NEP currently has a controlling interest in 21 companies, whose revenues are primarily in the $50 million to $400 million range. As the Chairman of NEP, John continues to work on portfolio companies as an active partner, as well as focusing efforts on personal community interests.

Previously, John spent sixteen years at Northwestern/Norwest Bank where he last served as Senior Vice President responsible for middle market lending activities.

John serves on the University of Minnesota Foundation Board of Trustees and the Medicine and Health Board of Overseers. He has received both an Outstanding Achievement Award and the Regents Award from the University. John also serves as Vice Chairman of the Minneapolis Institute of Art. John was inducted into the Minnesota Business Hall of Fame in 2010. He is a past board member of Junior Achievement.

Nancy Lindahl is co-founder of Creative Strategies Plus, Inc. where she serves as a consultant to the Twin Cities non-profit sector. She is the former Community Affairs Director of KARE-11 television. Nancy spent several years in the classroom as an elementary teacher and later specialized as a reading and math tutor.

Nancy has served on over two dozen non-profit boards. She was elected a Life Director on the University of Minnesota Board of Trustees and holds a similar honor with the Minnesota Orchestra. Her past leadership positions include: President of the Junior League of Minneapolis, National President of the University of Minnesota Alumni Association, President of Children’s Cancer Research Fund and the honor of being named the first female Commodore of the Minneapolis Aquatennial. She has received both an Outstanding Achievement Award and Regents Award from the University.

Together the Lindahls were the inaugural chairs of Greater Twin Cities United Way Tocqueville Society and chairs of the United Way’s Centennial. At the University, they chaired the fundraising effort for TCF Bank Football Stadium and are currently the chairs for the University’s $4 billion Driven Campaign.
