Wellness Center

The Wellness Center provides each citizen with health insurance through their JA BizTown business as an employee benefit. Students explore careers in the medical industry by providing health assessments to citizens. Employees will conduct various experiments and projects as a way to educate citizens on the importance of making healthy choices. Citizens visiting the Wellness Center can purchase stress balls, vitamin pens, and sunglasses. (personal checks only)

  • Prepares and gives speeches at Town Meetings
  • Assists with all business duties when employees are on break


  • Inputs and submits business loan to the bank
  • Inputs employee payroll information
  • Prints and distributes employee payroll checks
  • Prints and distributes business expense checks
  • Keeps all records of business expenses and payments
  • Makes business deposits at Bank
  • Signs business checks if CEO is not available


  • Distributes health vouchers to CEOs of businesses as they arrive
  • Assists patients in wellness screening
  • Conducts a Health Survey of JA BizTown citizens
  • Educates citizens of healthy lifestyle choices by writing a Public Service Announcement
  • Sets up Point of Sale System (POS).
  • Assists customers with sales and accepts payments
  • Forwards collected payments to CFO for deposit


  • Generate health related questions and plan experiments and investigations
  • Conduct and report results of investigations by following Scientific Method
  • Work with Health Care Managers in assisting customers
  • Work with JA BizTown staff for billing and payment of research investigations
  • Forwards collected payments to CFO for deposit
