JA Student Ambassadors at JA North Business Hall of Fame

Are you a student who enjoys speaking in public and networking? If so, you may be eligible to be one of JA’s Student Ambassadors and serve as the “face” of Junior Achievement.

What are the criteria to be a JA Student Ambassador?

  • Have participated in Junior Achievement at any point in your K-12 school years
  • Be passionate about what you have learned from Junior Achievement
  • Be comfortable and articulate speaking about your JA experience in front of large and small groups, in both casual and formal settings.
  • Have reliable transportation to and from JA events and meetings

What does it mean to be a JA Student Ambassador?

  • Advocate for Junior Achievement at events
  • Connect with donors, board members, educators and other students
  • Share your JA story at events, activities, meetings and in print materials (Mission Report, website, etc.)

Why do I want to be a JA Student Ambassador?

  • Develop your leadership and communication skills
  • Practice business networking and etiquette
  • Help bring JA’s mission to life
  • Participate in JA events
  • Receive complimentary tickets for you and a guest to attend the JA North Business Hall of Fame.

What is the commitment as a JA Student Ambassador?

  • Provide written consent (by parents if under 18 years of age) to use your story and/or image in organizational marketing pieces. This permission includes photographs, images, text, video and audio, for the purpose of supporting the mission of JA North.
  • Attend select JA North events and activities as available. Speaking opportunities include: board meetings, JA fundraising events, JA awareness events, etc. JA staff will work with student to prepare an outline or script for the presentation, and will provide the student with as much advance notice as possible. Student has the right to accept or refuse opportunity based on availability.
  • Keep JA North updated on changes in contact information (phone, email, address, etc.)

How do I apply?
Complete the online JA Student Ambassador application, return a signed parent/guardian Consent Form, and provide a recommendation from a teacher, JA volunteer, or school principal/administrator. Please send supporting documents (by mail or email) to:
