Entrepreneur Hub
The citizens at the Entrepreneur Hub get to learn all about what starting a new business is like. They will fill a need in BizTown, do market research, determine product costs, and create a new prototype. They will then create a product pitch to the JA Staff and learn how to talk about their exciting new business to others. At the end of the day, the products are raffled off to lucky citizens who invested in JA BizTown Entrepreneur Hub.
- Obtains bank loan
- Supervises employees and oversees business operations
- Signs paychecks
- Meets with other businesses to purchase insurance, renewable energy, and health insurance
- Helps other employees with their work, and stands in for them on their breaks
- Inputs and submits business loan to the bank
- Creates and prints paychecks
- Pays online bills sent to business
- Works with team to find investors
- Deposits money from sales to Bank
- Collects answers from BizTown citizens about the type of product they would like to purchase
- Works with other employees to collaborate on design and pricing
- Use software to create a logo and slogan for Entrepreneur Hub
- Works with Product Designer to manufacture prototypes of product
- Creates marketing materials to advertise product
- Reviews market research about popular products and then creates design options
- Works with other employees to calculate costs for manufacturing the product
- Uses equipment to manufacture products
- Collaborates with team on a “Perfect Pitch”
- Learn about importance of investors with an interactive game
- Helps to market and sell raffle tickets to “investors”
