Philanthropy Center
Employees at The Affinity Plus Philanthropy Center choose a non-profit to support from a list including Can-Do Canines, Second Harvest Heartland, and the Special Olympics. Then, they tell others about their chosen non-profit through fun activities, games, and creative ads. They collect pledges from the other BizTown businesses and talk to BizTown citizens about making a BizTown cash donation as well. Employees learn about how to write a grant, how to make communities better, and the many things that non-profits do for our society.

- Sets the Philanthropy Center’s fundraising goal for the day, and monitors progress
- Supervises employees and oversees business operations

- Creates and prints paychecks
- Signs paychecks if Executive Director is not available

- Researches the nonprofit’s goals and impact.
- Writes a Grant Application using fun, interactive computer programming, to raise money for the nonprofit
- Assists the Program Manager with the collection of citizen donations
- Works with the Philanthropy team to select a nonprofit to support
- Sets up an attractive display area and/or activity area to promote nonprofit
- Collects donations from citizens through raffles or interactive games
